Wisdom For Cultivation + Connection,

By Debbie Rosas.

Creating necessary space for growth and evolution within ourselves and our community requires desire, intentionality, and awareness. Necessary space must be safe and inclusive to allow both leaders and the individuals to express themselves without fear of judgment. As we navigate the body and life journey together, it is essential that we adapt our approaches to reflect meeting both the diverse needs of our time together with the needs of those we serve.

Over the years, I have received valuable feedback from faculty, teachers, and students. Much of this feedback revolves around preferences and desires which illuminates the importance of understanding unique and individual needs in addition to what resonates within our global Nia community, while offering a holistic approach to body and life care.  As the world changes, we must expand opportunities, while continuing to improve education and technology services.

By learning, embodying and sharing these key principles, I believe we can begin to cultivate necessary space for growing, healing, and connecting to develop an environment which celebrates global diversity that empowers each individual to thrive on their Body + Life journey.

Nia’s journey, like the journey of everyone within our community is an ongoing process of healing and growth. The necessary space for Nia to heal, grow, and evolve must include globally diverse stories. These are the journeys that shape the body and life perspective of Nia as an organization. Recognizing unique global narratives is one catalyst of change I believe is needed to provide the Nia with life force momentum for the stability of the future.

There’s no getting around it. We must each face our own challenges, whether they be physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual. In doing so, we must create the necessary space to recognize and acknowledge any pain from trauma and develop these experiences toward nurturing, healing, and transformation. While understanding we are all part of a collective; I believe we must learn to honor the infinite diversity of bodies and lives experienced.

This wisdom can be used to encourage and understand the necessity for uniquely created environments that support various cultures, societies, and communities with opportunities for individuals to move, sense, feel and express without the fear of evaluation, shame, or judgment. While we cannot control the behaviors of others, we can educate and raise awareness among ourselves concerning the significant impact we have on those around us.

Necessary Space:

Key Principles In Cultivation and Connection.

  1. Awareness of Impact: Encourage others to recognize how actions affect collectives to foster a culture of mindfulness.
  2. Unity Consciousness: Remind others of their role within communities and their responsibility to promote kindness and care.
  3. Interconnected Relationships: Cultivate relationships that reflect interconnectedness of shared space experiences and unique Body + Life journeys.
  4. Intentional Co-Creation: Foster a conscious intention to create resonant patterns of healthy energy within our individual and collective spaces.
  5. Vibrational Regulation: Encourage others to manage personal feelings to help promote a shared frequency of health and well-being.
  6. Respect for Each Individual: Approach others as a unique body, soul, and spirit deserving of safety, belonging, and dignity.
  7. Sharing Unique Gifts: Create intimacy by inviting others to share their life experiences to help enrich the story of the collective.
  8. Self-Awareness and Healing: Inspire others to look inward and recognize, acknowledge, forgive, or address that which may have been in need of healing.
  9. Defining Purpose: Encourage exploration of individual meaning and purpose with love and light to actively manage Body + Life challenges.
  10. Meaningful Engagement: Encourage everyone to continue seeking meaning in the work they do and purpose in how they share it with others.
  11. Resonance Over-Reach: Understand how success is not measured by numbers but by the depth of connection and resonance within our community.
  12. Effective Communication: Foster communication that reflects addressing the needs of oneself and others created between two or more people.
  13. Audience Understanding: Emphasize the importance of recognizing the needs of those we serve and adapt our approaches accordingly to do no harm.
  14. Dynamic Engagement: Recognize that engagement is ever evolving and requiring compassion, patience, flexibility, and responsiveness.
  15. Win-Win Action: Promote collaboration which leads to harmonious collective and community week being for all.
